Day 5 in Estonia
In the
morning, we got up quickly and ate, as usual, sandwiches with an omelette, so
we have enough energy for the games the Portuguese group had organized. We
couldn’t find a ball, so Joni made a ball out of paper and lots of tape, and it
actually worked better than we expected! Even Picasso loved them. The first
game involved using this ball and it was called “Matança” (translated to
English it means to kill) It was about throwing our improvised ball onto other
people, and whoever gets hit goes to the back of the other team to help knock
it out. The second game was “Lenço“ (translated: flag). There are 2 teams of
which everyone has his own number and one neutral holds a flag and shouts a
number. The person whose number is said runs to the flag and tries to get it
before everybody else. Whenever the neutral shouts “fire” everybody runs to the
flag to try and catch it. The third game was “Corrente”(chain) or
“Cobra”(snake). One person tries to catch everybody and whenever he catches
someone, the person who got caught starts holding hands with the person who is
catching, until they catch the whole team while holding each other’s hands. The
last Portuguese game was “Congelados”(freeze). One person tries to catch
everybody, and whenever he catches them they “freeze” and can’t move. Another
person can unfreeze them by going between their legs. After all these tiring games
we should’ve had a swimming session in the lake but the weather was way too
cold, so we had free time. For lunch, we had salmon soup with bread prepared
with butter, garlic and salt. It was extremely tasty, especially the bread! Then
we played some Lithuanian games. After them, we had “reflection groups” which
means that we had to give a score from 1/10 about our expectations, objectives,
fears and contribution. Then we had dinner and after that we had a sauna night,
but some of us didn’t go into the sauna. After that some of us watched horror
films and went to bed.
